There are three ways to start a table in Ottogrid:

  1. Generate a Table with a Prompt: Describe what you want, and Ottogrid will automatically create a table for you.

  2. Use a Template: Choose from our pre-built templates designed for various use cases.

  3. Import Your Own Data: Upload a CSV file to create a table from your existing data.

For this quick start guide, we'll focus on generating a table using a prompt.

  • Click "Create New Table" from your dashboard.

  • Enter a prompt that describes your desired table. For example:

    • “Create a table to analyze AI start ups”

    • “Build a table of sales prospects in the software industry.”

    • “Build a table to compare real estate properties in Los Angeles for sale”

Ottogrid will instantly generate a fully configured table based on your prompt, complete with relevant columns and settings.

Review and Further Customize Your Table2

  • Review the Generated Table: Ottogrid will create your table with a name, columns, and configurations based on your prompt. Check the table structure to ensure it fits your needs. For example, a "Tech Startups" table might include columns like Company Name, Industry, Funding Amount, and Website URL.

  • Customize Your Table: You can make adjustments as needed:

    • Use the AI Chat Assistant: Ask the assistant to rename columns, add more columns, or explain how the table can be used for different insights.

    • Manual Adjustments: Make any changes directly in the table, such as reordering columns or adding new fields.

Once you're satisfied with the table structure, start adding data using Ottogrid’s data-adding options:

  • Company Search for company data

  • People Search for individual profiles

  • News Search for recent articles

  • General Search for broad data searches

  • CSV Import if you have pre-existing data
