Navigate, Interact, and Optimize Your Workflow in the Ottogrid Table View
Overview
The Ottogrid table view is designed to feel familiar to users of other tabular products like Google Sheets and Airtable, while offering advanced features tailored for modern workflows. With seamless navigation, bulk actions, shortcuts, and tools, you can handle large datasets efficiently.
This guide covers everything you need to know about interacting with your tables, including tips, tricks, and keyboard shortcuts to maximize your productivity.
Table Interactions
1. Infinite Scrolling
Ottogrid supports infinite datasets, allowing smooth scrolling through large amounts of data. Rows load dynamically for a seamless experience.
2. Copy, Paste, and Find
Copy and paste data into and out of your table just like in other tabular tools:

Find/Search:
Use
Ctrl + F
(Windows) orCmd + F
(Mac) to open a search bar to find specific values in your table.
Bulk Actions
You can apply actions to multiple rows or cells at once. Here's how:
Selecting Multiple Rows or Cells:
Use Shift + Click to select a range of rows or cells.
Use Ctrl + A (Windows) or Cmd + A (Mac) to select all rows in the table.
Click + Drag: Select multiple rows or cells using your mouse.
Bulk Action Menu:
After selecting rows or cells, right-click (Windows) or two-finger click (Mac) to open the bulk action menu.
Bulk actions include:
Rerun: Reprocess selected cells.
Copy: Copy the values of selected cells.
Clear: Remove all data from the selected cells.
Delete Rows: Delete all selected rows.
Cell-Level Actions
You can interact with individual cells by right-clicking (Windows) or two-finger clicking (Mac) to open the cell action menu. Options include:
Rerun Cell: Reprocess the selected cell.
Copy Cell Value: Copy the value of the cell.
Clear Cell: Remove the value from the cell.
Delete Row: Delete the row the cell belongs to.
Column and Row Customization
1. Resizing Columns:
Drag the edge of a column header to adjust its width manually.
2. Resizing Rows:
Change row heights to suit your workflow:
Options: Short, Medium, Tall, or Extra Tall.
To adjust row height, go to the Table Settings located at the top of the table beside the filter button.
3. Hiding and Showing Columns:
Temporarily hide unnecessary columns to focus on key data.
Bring hidden columns back into view via the column settings menu.
Sorting and Filtering
1. Sorting:
Sort columns in ascending or descending order.
Apply custom sorting to single or multiple columns simultaneously.
2. Filtering:
Apply filters to refine your dataset:
Examples: Equals, Contains, Is Empty, etc.
Combine filters using AND/OR logic for complex scenarios.
Add as many filters as needed for advanced data slicing.
Footer Details
At the bottom of your table, you’ll find key information:
Total Records: The total number of rows in the table.
Queued Cells: A counter showing how many cells are currently in a queued state awaiting processing.
Running Cells: A counter showing how many cells are actively running.
Stop Queued Cells: A button to cancel any cells currently in the queued state.
Note: These indicators dynamically update based on the state of your table.
AI Chat and Other Actions
At the top-right of your table view, you’ll find essential controls:
AI Chat:
Open the AI assistant to:
Configure your table with natural language commands.
Analyze your data directly within the table.
Add data dynamically by interacting with the AI.
Test Mode: Enable Test Mode to refine your table's setup without consuming credits.
Automations: Access and configure automations to streamline workflows.
Export: Export your table using available formats.
Import CSV: Quickly import large datasets into your table.
Add Data: Add data manually or via integrated tools.
